Standard Operating Procedure for Social Distancing for Workplaces, Factories and Establishments

All offices, factories and other establishments will adopt the following measures:

Disinfection of all areas in the premises using safe mediums. It includes the entrance gate of the building, offices, cafeterias/canteens, meeting rooms/conference halls, open areas/verandah, the entrance gate of the site, bunkers, portable cabins, equipment and lifts, washrooms, toilets including sinks, water points, walls and all other surfaces.
Arrangement of transportation facilities for workers coming from outside, so no one has to travel on the public transport system. These vehicles will be allowed to work only with 30-40% passenger capacity.
All vehicles and machinery entering the premises will be mandatorily sanitised using spray sanitisation.
There will be mandatory thermal scanning for everyone entering and exiting the workplace.
Medical insurance for the workers will be made mandatory.
Provisions for washing hands will be made wherever possible. Sanitisers (preferably with a touch-free mechanism) will be stationed at all entry-exit points and in common areas. Sufficient quantities of all required disinfectants will be made available.
Workplaces will have a gap of one hour between shifts. Lunchtime will also be staggered to maintain social distancing norms.
Management is advised to avoid large meetings exceeding 10 people. A minimum 6-feet gap in the seating plan will be ensured on job sites, gatherings, meetings, and training sessions.
Not more than 2-4 persons (depending on size) will be allowed to travel in lifts or hoists.
Everyone is encouraged to use the staircase.
Chewing of gutka, and other tobacco products will be banned on-premises, and spitting will be strictly prohibited
Non-essential visitors will not be allowed on-premises.
Nearby hospitals and clinics authorised to treat COVID-19 patients will be identified and listed for the convenience of the workforce.
